The Bachelor

So, I am like many women and girls out there who watch the bachelor religiously. I have loved the drama and the fun dates that the girls seem to go on with the bachelor. But I can't help but wonder if the show could actually find true love for the bachelor. Do people think that someone could fall in love with someone that quickly and in that way? I wonder what their feelings really are for one another. Do the women realize that the dates they are on are not realisitc in the least bit and that once he picks one the fancy dates are over? I love the show but sometimes I feel the show is one of the stupidist show out there because it is so unrealistic. I do not like the concept of the "fantasy suite". I do not think that it is appropriate for the show to be airing a show that lets you know there is a designated area to spend the night with the bachelor and most likely have sex. You really wonder if these relationships have any chance to make it.

Do the women get paid to take leave from their job and film this I wonder?

  1. Adrianna,

I’m a Bachelor fan as well! I do believe that the show finds true love for some people, very few couples have found it but some have, there are five that got married and are still together: Jason Mesnick and Molly Melaney from Bachelor season 13, Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici from Bachelor season 17, Trisa Rehn and Ryan Sutter from Bachelorette season 2, Ashley Hebert and JP Rosenbaum from Bachelorette season 7, Desiree Hartsock and Chris Siegfried from Bachelorette season 9.

If you’re really curious Sean Lowe, the bachelor season 17 has a blog that answers a lot of your questions about the show and other common questions, he wrote a book too. I liked him a lot, he was probably the most respectable bachelor they’ve had on the show (he was a born-again virgin and wasn’t having sex until marriage, he kept this vow too according to his wife!).

The bachelor or bachelorette of the season are compensated, the contestants are not. So you have to be willing to leave your job and be financially stable enough to go without income during the season. It is a silly show, but quite addicting! If you watched the end of Chris’s season, what do you think of Britt and Kaitlyn being the next bachelorettes?

  2. Hi, Adrianna,
I haven't watched this show, but I know it is one of the famous show in America. I always thought this show is a comedy and just like the Frasier. Since you got a lot of questions for this show, I'm so curious and want to watch it right now !
